Here are my Beauty faves for May.
I don’t know where you guys are, but here in Texas it’s been officially Summer for the last month. 90-degree weather and all. The last thing I want to do everyday is wear a full coverage foundation. Luckily, I’ve had this AMAZING BB Cream (Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream in shade 21). I know what you’re thinking. BB Creams don’t cover anything, or they don’t last. Not this one! It totally covers everything I need. I would say it’s probably medium coverage with about 8 hours of wear time. It also has 42 SPF (Thank God!). The only thing is the shade range isn’t great.
My next favorite of the month is another product great for Summer. It’s the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder in 1 Fair. Yes! It is INSANELY expensive. However, do you have a powder that prevents “sunglasses marks” on your face? This is the only powder I’ve ever tried that leaves my undereye mark-free. And since I only use it on my undereye, it lasts forever. The link below is for Amazon. Not sure why it’s $57 there. I bought mine at Sephora during a VIB Sale. Regular Price was $45.
I don’t know about you guys, but I was over the matte lip trend from the moment it began. Yes, it’s amazing that it last for hours. But y’all, my lips were DYING. I’m a millennial. I grew up in the 90s and my heart will always be with Bonne Bell Lipgloss. If anyone knows where to find those, let a girl know. I just want to see if they taste as good as I remember. My absolute favorite lipgloss is the Dose of Colors Stay Glossy Lip Glosses. Particularly in the shades On Repeat (a medium nude-y brown) and Just My Type (a rosy pink). They’re not sticky or super thick. They also have great color payoff. I wear them on their own all the time.
One essential in my skincare routine is a vitamin C serum. Y’all, I have found the best serum of all time. It’s the Maelove The Glow Maker Antioxidant Serum. I put a few drops on in the morning before I apply my moisturizer and eventually makeup. BOOM! My skin has never looked glowier or healthier. It’s not greasy and sinks straight into your skin. I have a 7-month-old. Time is hard to come by these days. I’m able to apply my skincare and within a few minutes start my makeup no problem. (For reference, I have normal to dry skin). I think people with oily skin would be just fine with this product as well.
My favorite body scrub of all time is the Sugar Shea Scrub from Tree Hut. I’ve tried so many different scents of this stuff. My absolute favorite is the Lemon Blueberry Tart! Oh my goodness, this smells like the most delicious baked good of ALL TIME! Yes, that is a huge statement, but seriously it’s good! It’s limited edition, so gets your hands on it quick! I use it to exfoliate of course, but my favorite way to use it is before I shave my legs. It gets me a super close shave and moisturizes so no razor burn! I feel like I have to shave less often when I use the scrub beforehand. I just used up the last bit of this scent. I definitely need to repurchase. Right now I’m using the Lychee and Plum. I would also recommend!
