As you might have noticed, I haven’t posted a blog post in quite some time. So, what have I been doing with all of this free time you ask?
Back in October, it was my little girl’s first birthday and we had two family trips back-to-back that put a lot of time constraints and pressure on my husband and me. Don’t get me wrong. We had a wonderful time celebrating with our families and our little one. It just takes a lot outta you!
First, we spent a long weekend in Kansas visiting my husband’s side of the family. Our little one got to meet aunts, uncles, cousins, and even great-grandparents for the very first time. She had a blast with all the attention she was getting.
We also spent her first birthday in Disney World! I know! It was amazing. She did so good and loved everything so much. I could not have asked for a better vacation. I’ll definitely be posting more about Disney and how we traveled with our one-year-old.
During this time, the little one also had tubes put in her ears. I am so thankful that this procedure went smoothly and has created comfort for her. She suffered from quite a few ear infections and it was definitely time to visit an ENT. If you all are interested in the process, please let me know. I don’t mind sharing our experience.
Then came the holidays! Last year, our baby was 1-2 months old during Thanksgiving and Christmas. This was truly her first time experiencing everything. I wanted to make it extra special for her. We baked cookies, decorated Christmas Trees, saw Santa (and the Grinch!), watched Christmas movies, and so so so much playing!
We had our families come into town to join in the festivities. It was a blast. But, I’m definitely looking forward to slowing down and enjoying day to day life again.
I plan on getting back to the swing of things on the blog and will be posting regularly. I have a couple of ideas of what I want to post about in the upcoming months, but if you guys have any suggestions, please leave it in the comments below!
Thanks for stopping by!
