Guess what I got in the mail last week?! It’s my Fab Fit Fun box for Fall 2019. Y’all, I loved my Summer box so much that I almost lost my mind waiting on my Fall box. I’ll link my review of the Summer box below.
For those of you that don’t know, this is only my second FFF box. I’m pretty skeptical when it comes to subscription boxes in general and this one has definitely got a higher price tag than most. Let me tell you, I was not disappointed! Well, maybe I was disappointed that I didn’t join sooner.
Before I jump into everything I got in my box, let’s talk details. So Fab Fit Fun is a Seasonal Subscription Box (Summer, Fall, Winter, Spring). Each season you get a mix of beauty, home, fitness, or fashion items. You even get to customize some of the items in your box! I don’t remember being able to do that with other subscriptions! That’s for sure my favorite part of FFF.
How much does it cost?
It’s $49 per box. Now, if this is your very first box, you can get $10 off by clicking my link below. That makes the box just $40. You’ll definitely want to take advantage of that discount once you see what I got.
So, what did I get?
The very first choice you get is between 1) Plaid scarf ($75) 2) Anthropologie Travel Yoga Mat ($50) 3) Amika Strand Perfect Ceramic Styler ($80) 4) Mobile White Advanced Teeth Whitening Kit ($90).
I chose the Amika Strand Perfect Ceramic Styler. Yes, it’s one of the pricier options, but it’s definitely something I needed. I’ve had my current straightener for about 4-5 years. It’s doing fine, but I would definitely like one to take when I travel. If you don’t know the Amika brand, it’s sold in stores like Sephora and Ulta. I’ve tried a couple products from them that I really liked, so I knew I could trust this brand.
I’ve used it a couple times these past few days and I really like it. The styler has a heat dial that you can program up to 450 degrees. It also has a light that will show green when it’s reached the set temperature. It’s still going to take some breaking it, but I’m glad I chose it!
You can choose from 1) Mystery Item ($42+) 2) Kate Spade Lunch Tote ($30) 3) NassifMD Detox Pads ($45) 4) Kut from the Kloth Slim Striped Wallet ($60) 5) Twine Cheese Board with Plate ($30).
I chose the Kate Spade Lunch Tote. Did I pick it because it’s Kate Spade? You bet I did! I love the Kate Spade brand and thought this would be something I could definitely use either to take my lunch in or even travel with my hair products. It has the cooler type insulation on the inside, which is easy to wipe clean.
To be fair, this isn’t typical Kate Spade. I find it to be kind of cheap and wish I opted for the cheese board. I’ll still get some use out of it though!
Choices are as follows 1) The Better Skin Co. Lava Magik ($32) 2) Baublebar Farah Ear Crawlers ($34) 3) Cosmedix Pure C ($54)
I chose the Baublebar Farah Ear Crawlers. I’ve bought the Sugarfix by Baublebar at Target and also just Baublebar at Nordstrom. I really love the style of Baublebar jewelry, so I just had to get them! Normally, I don’t wear ear crawler type earrings because my ears are kind of small, but these fit perfect! I wore them for an entire day and only one side slipped down once! Highly recommend!
Fab Fit Fun also gives you an option to add on additional products in a category for an added price. I picked up The Better Skin Co. Lava Magik as well for $10 more. I was all for it when I read for a more radiant, youthful appearance! It’s marketed as a cleanser, scrub, and mask. I tried it all three ways. I like it as a scrub the best. I have somewhat sensitive skin and the mask just irritated my skin. I don’t think you can really use it as a cleanser either since it has tiny granules throughout. It did make my skin super soft! I’m glad I added it.
5 more items to go!
- Skinvolve Body Booster Gel: It’s a pre-workout gel that is supposed to give you tighter/smoother skin. I’m kind of nervous to use it! If you’ve used it, let me know below in the comments. Retail: $45
- Wander Beauty Baggage Claim Gold Eye Mask 6 Pack: Hydrating eye masks with hyaluronic acid and aloe leaf. Love them! Retail: $25
- Aveda Damage Remedy Daily Hair Repair: Heat protectant (up to 450 degrees—you’ll need it for the Amika Styler!) I don’t have a ton of hair damage, but I do think it helps make your hair soft and manageable. Retail: $30
- Harper + Ari Exfoliating Sugar Cubes in Juice Cleanse: These smell like melon and do a good job of exfoliating. I thought they should have broken down a little easier. To be honest, I find them pretty gimmicky. Retail: $16
- Human + Kind Body Souffle: This has a super familiar scent, but I cannot put my finger on it. If you know, leave it in the comments! Really like it! Melts into your skin quickly and moisturizes without being greasy. Retail: $18
The box is worth $310 and I paid $49 plus the extra $10 for my additional item. All in all, not bad! I was a little disappointed that it wasn’t more Fall themed. I think the only item I really felt leant that way was the plaid scarf. Maybe I just wish all the items were pumpkin scented.
I will definitely continue on with my subscription. I’m excited to see what will be in the Winter box already. I also added on a few items in the Fall Add On Sale. I’ll link my post on it below. I love every single Add On I chose!
